Varsity vs LaPorte Tournament Illiana softball split in the tournament today. They beat Carroll 2-1 in 8 innings. Mikayla Derks threw all 8 innings - no hitter. Gave up zero earned runs and struck out 11. Derks also hit the game winning single in the 8th. Libby Kreykes went 2/3. Lydia VanderWoude went 2/4. And Maya Wondaal got the only other RBI with a double. In the 2nd game they lost to LaPorte 3-1. Lydia VanderWoude scored the only run for illiana with a single and stolen base. Libby Kreykes had the other hit for illiana with a double.
